Come be a part of our journey at Cleco where we're Energizing Your Tomorrow. <\/i><\/b><\/p><p><b> Role Purpose: <\/b><\/p><p> The FuelsOperations Analyst is a professional that is responsible for assisting with the purchase, logistics, and accounting of the various fuels (natural gas, petcoke, coal) and bulk materials (limestone) that Cleco utilizes at its power plants to generate electricity.This professional will assists with negotiating and executing strategy driven fuel transactions, while also capturing details to provide accurate fuel supply and reporting.Will aid in ongoing fuel supply process improvement efforts and contribute to the increased effectiveness of the Fuels Group\u2019s responsibilities .As the business needs evolve, the Gas Coordinator will perform all tasks associated with the role as defined by the Manager. <\/p><p><b> Key Responsibilities: <\/b><\/p><ul><li> Champions a corporate culture that emphasizes transparency, integrity, safety, environmental responsibility, employee development, diversity and inclusion, customer service, and operational excellence.\u00a0<\/li><li> Assists with analysis and execution of fuel (natural gas, petcoke, coal) and bulk materials (limestone) supply transactions and strategies that provides reliable cost competitive fuel for the Cleco\u2019s power plants.\u00a0<\/li><li> Enter fuel transactions data in Cleco\u2019s Energy Trading Risk Management (ETRM) and other official systems of record. <\/li><li> Utilizes pipeline nomination systems to schedule gas movement and monitor pipeline operational information postings <\/li><li> Assists settlements team on pipeline and supplier invoice reconciliation <\/li><li> Participates in a rotational 24\/7 duty schedule, covering natural gas supply operational issues. <\/li><li> Assist with modeling and analysis of forecasting fuel needs and monitoring fuel procurement and delivery activities related to inventory and supply requirements. <\/li><li> Perform plant liaison function that communicates information with the plant joint owners. <\/li><li> Participates in the end of month processes for solid fuel and bulk material products. <\/li><li> Assists with negotiations and administration of bulk fuels logistics related contracts, such as barge and rail, required to provide coal, per coke, and limestone to Cleco\u2019s generators. <\/li><li> Assist with oversight of contracted third party logistics responsibilities and efforts (barge and train scheduling, movements, loading, and unloading) that move bulk fuels and materials to Cleco\u2019s power plants. <\/li><li> Utilizes fuel purchasing and logistics standards, procedures, and processes, providing recommendations for process improvements, as necessary. <\/li><li> Supports the escalation of any risk concerning fuel purchasing duties and responsibilities, to help ensure business objectives are executed and met across Cleco\u2019s fuel supply. <\/li><li> Escalate any fuel purchasing and logistics issues to Fuel\u2019s management, as necessary. <\/li><li> Provide communication to their manager to provide updates on fuel purchasing activities, and identify risks in delivery of gas supply. <\/li><li> Support Fuel\u2019s leadership with gas purchasing activities updates on a regular basis to proactively support business objectives <\/li><\/ul><p><b> Qualifications: <\/b><\/p><ul><li> Bachelor\u2019s degree in finance, economics, accounting, computer science, engineering technology or similar disciplines <\/li><li> 1 to 2 years of related experience in one or more of the following areas: <ul><li> Fuel commodities markets (i.e.: natural gas, coal, pet coke, limestone), does not have to be with all products. <\/li><li> Natural gas scheduling and pipeline operations <\/li><li> Bulk fuel or products scheduling, logistics, and operations <\/li><\/ul><\/li><li> Ability to report to the Pineville General Office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays <\/li><li> Microsoft Excel skills are required; proficiency in Power Point, Word is preferred <\/li><li> Strong computer skills using database type informational systems is preferred <\/li><li> Strong business acumen pertaining to the Utility industry <\/li><li> Strong knowledge of leading practices for their practice area <\/li><li> Strong planning and project management skills <\/li><li> Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job <\/li><li> Proficient at functioning effectively within a team environment, present ideas and opinions in a respective and collegial manner <\/li><\/ul><p><b> Salary dependent on experience, skills, education, and training. <\/b> <\/p> <h3> About Us  <\/h3> <p> Cleco Corporate Holdings LLC is a regional energy holding company that conducts its business operations through two subsidiaries, Cleco Power and Cleco Cajun.
