<\/p> Compensation & Benefits:
The Automotive Controller position at Harbor Nissan offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $110,000 to $140,000, paid semi-monthly. <\/p> Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the accounting department
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Supervise and support accounting staff in their daily tasks and provide training as needed
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the department
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of financial tasks
- Forecast and manage cash flow to support business operations
- Coordinate and assist with year-end audits and tax preparations
<\/p> Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in automotive dealership accounting and finance, with 2 years in a supervisory role preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in dealership management systems and accounting software
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Must be willing to work in Port Charlotte, Florida
